This end mill is designed to cut difficult and abrasive materials, ranging from medium to the highest hardness levels machinable by high speed steel. The 8% cobalt content assures high edge hardness at elevated temperature levels. The large core diameter provides rigidity and reduces deflection while the cutting geometry allows for rapid stock removal. They can be used for general purpose milling including profiling, slotting, keyways, and pockets. They will also plunge cut.
